Dr. R. Pierce Osborne II obtained his dental degree from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Campus in 1988. He stayed at the University of Tennessee for training in periodontal and implant therapy. He returned to Fayetteville in 2001 and began practicing with Dr. Gary Renegar; that practice became Arkansas Periodontal and Implant Associates.
Dr. Osborne is a past president of the Arkansas State Dental Association, as well as the Northwest District Dental Association. He enjoys attending continuing education courses and has served as president of the local dental study club, The American Academy of Interdisciplinary Therapy, northwest Arkansas chapter. It is important to him to be well educated in his profession and provide the highest level of care. He will be happy to discuss any recent developments in periodontal or implant therapy with you.
Dr. Osborne graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts. He majored in classical studies as he was planning to practice law. However, he redirected late in college and began taking science courses.
Dr. Osborne was given the “2015 Gentleman of Distinction Award” by Hope Cancer Resources. This award is given annually at the “Bill Fleeman Hope Cancer Resources Gala” to a single individual in recognition of their work for cancer treatment and support in our area. Hope Cancer Resources provides compassionate, professional cancer support and education in the Northwest Arkansas region.
He believes strongly that he should give back to a community that has given him so much. He has served on the boards of Habitat for Humanity of Washington Co., Washington County Historical Society, the New School, Northwest Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute, Hope Cancer Resources, and as President of Haas Hall Academy. He attends and ushers at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.
He has been married to Melonie (formerly Hays) since 1992 and they have two children, Hays and Eliza. He enjoys outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, golfing, floating, and hiking.
